I work on many computers with various operating systems, especially different flavors of PCLOS.  For me, it seems like the older computers suffered not playing Flash-type media with the new update, while newer computers had no issues.  Rolling back the Flash worked for my older computers too.

JohnW_57,ho
Many thanks for the straightforward and accurate instructions you posted. I also (like others who had this problem) have an NVidia card (uses the NVidia 96xx driver and the Nouveau xorg server).  I'm running firefox 12 (on fully updated KDE 2012.02) and lost considerable flash funtionality (in addition to youtube) after upgrading to the latest flash-player-plugin. Your solution saved the day. Again, many thanks.

I wonder if the mods would consider pinning your post?

I had to take a 20 mile ride to my buddy's house to "downgrade" his "upgrade".  ::)
I really need to find the equivalent of PC Anywhere to do remote Admin on his machine!  :P
Thanks John, I'da been lost without that RPM file!  ;)

Maybe this does fix it?

http://i.minus.com/1336519626/j0MdUORJ8rpiybKA0nsgdw/dZO4qFjg10Tdu.rpm

It's is the previous flash-player-plugin.

Howto:

Download the  Flash-player-plugin.
Remove the actual flash-player-plugin with  synaptic.
Start konsole  and su to root.
Go to the folder where it's downloaded.

Type rpm -Uvh flash-player-plugin-11.1.102.62-1pclos2012.i586.rpm

Test it!!

Link doesn't work can you upload the rpm, blue videos and no sound here. Yes I have an Nvidia (GeForce GT 520) card

Crow,

The link works for me.  Perhaps you're running NoScript.  If you are, all you'll see is a page that says that it doesn't exist.  However, if you tell NoScript to temporarily allow all this page, a link to a downloadable file becomes available (ABOVE the doesn't exist graphic).
Click on that link.

Thank you all,

downloaded Flash-player-plugin, dumped the last installed version, installed using the command line provided, pinned the package and all is right now  ;D

I think is the mix between Nvidia drivers and Flash since I don't have problems in my laptop. I will keep the downloaded flash just in case.
