Precisely. I sometimes wonder if these folks ever learned to read, its for sure they haven't a clue what phonics is or means. That, to me, was the beginning of the end for a decent education here in the states. I have railed about that to anyone who had the time to listen for about 60 of my 77 years now. I already understood in 1955 that something was wrong when a 10 year old had to have the comics read to him, they had quit using a teaching method that worked, and now we have 3 generations who can't read the evening fish-wrap.
I have the IQ to get by pretty well as a television engineer, on an 8th grade education, but sadly there are many with a high school education that can't even count change at McDonalds. And I don't consider its the kids fault, but the system that taught them. Sad, very sad.
