DarkTable has a missing dependency
« on: April 26, 2012, 01:18:59 PM »
Greetings;

A heads up.

I was just reading a review of DarkTable, a raw photo manager/editor on Linux Today, so I fired up synaptic and lo, and behold even, it was in the repo's.  So I had synaptic install a copy, along with the plugins pkg.  But while it registered itself on the graphics section of the menu, all I got was a 10 second busy cursor when I clicked on it.

Switching to a user shell:
[gene@coyote opt]$ darktable
darktable: error while loading shared libraries: liblcms2.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

And by golly liblcms2 was also in the repo, so it got installed.

That seems to have fixed it.  You may want to re-issue that rpm with that dependency added.

Thanks & Cheers, Gene.
