Parole - missing dependencies 32 bit

When trying to install parole the following message is thrown out by synaptic:

Neal - does that mean you can install parole only when you run xfce as the desktop environment?

Edit ... Oh man - sometimes I am really thick .... install  libxfce4util and libxfcegui Bob's your uncle ....

The two dependencies  you quoted are not in the "main" section of repo, they are in "xfce4".

Can you check your repo settings. Mine is "main updates nonfree kde4 games xfce4 testing ".

I'm using KDE though.

Check a Ibiblio mirror what's in testing section like: http://ftp.nluug.nl/ibiblio/distributions/pclinuxos/pclinuxos/apt/pclinuxos/2010/RPMS.testing/
This board is only for testing packages what's in testing section for 32bit, 64bit repositories and testing isos (32/64bit).

Please use the software help section what is already in stable sections of the repositories.

A another option is in synaptic:
Go to settings ->preferences -> fonts and columns and  tick components.
You can see from which section where the package is.

That's a lot easier - I can do that.  Thanks John.  Maybe somebody could move this to the appropriate section and make your post how to know what is in testing a separate sticky.
