I seemed to have messed up network manager [SOLVED]

Hi,
I just got the internet set up and was messing around with network manager trying to get a satellite box set up on the ethernet. Now I cant get back to the internet anymore.

It seems I was a bit too hasty in clicking in the "remove connection" section and deleted the ppp0 connection.

When I tried to add a new interface (GPRS...etc) I couldnt as it was telling me to insert a proper sim card.

Is there any way I can reset the network manager back to the default options without a reinstall?

I think you have to pick "Satellite" (DVB) in setup? Not GPRS etc..

The satellite box I refer to is just connected via ethernet cat5 cable. I assume DVB is a usb tuner. In any case the connection of the box can wait until after I get the internet back up via broadband dongle.

My main question is.... (as I had mistakenly deleted the ppp0 interface and cannot add a new GPRS interface, because the network manager tells me to insert the correct sim card ,even though said card had worked fine earlier)....

Is there a way to restore the network manager to the default configuration , without having to reinstall?

Install or re-install networkmanager maybe?  (Synaptic)

Well the add interface managed after all to recognise the dongle. No idea how or why...maybe it just needed some time. Anyway, Im back online. Thanks,all,  for your help
