I would suggest you remove mixx, do a full update and then install mixx 1.9.2-1 from the repository.

Also I strongly suggest you stick to using Synaptic for such operations.

Why?

Simply because Synaptic wouldn't have let you bork your install by running "apt-get upgrade".

I have just installed using Synaptic from the Heanet mirror ......

Installed the following packages:
caps (0.3.0-1pclos2007)
libdjconsole (0.1.3-4pclos2011)
libdjconsole0 (0.1.3-4pclos2011)
libportmidi0 (2011120-1pclos2011)
mixxx (1.9.2-1pclos2011)
swh-plugins (0.4.15-3pclos2011)

So what did Synaptic report as being the problem?

Very odd ......  as I selected mixxx for installation and it brought in the other packages as dependencies automatically.

I cannot understand how it would not do so on other installs .......

Hi pelinio,

you should stick to what is available in our package manager Synaptic because we have tested these programs for our distribution. Anythiong from outside may break your system and we can no longer help you then.
wrt FullMonty, please read this page as well as the  maintenance page, especially point 7 in the first post, which will tell you to uninstall MIXXX and then install its newer version (or not if you don't want it) before upgrading the system.
