Hi HottieGibbon,

I am making packages, but, I must let others know it, so they can test them.

If you please, would add me to the testers section, I would thank you a lot.

Best regards,

A. Smith

Ops, my bad.

Here it goes:

I have read Links A, B and C and realize that being a tester has risks that I am solely responsible for, I accept this risk gladly and waive all liability from PCLinuxOS for any potential damage to data or information on the machine that is to upgraded to testing status.

Please, sign me up

(Actually, I am my own guinea pig, I install the things I package in my machine first... So...)

Best regards friends

So long as all the packages are forwarded to Neal for inclusion they will appear in the testing section of the repo for all testers to try

I am asking packagers to request tests, after I've uploaded the RPM(s).

So the process is

Make the package,

Submit the package

package uploaded to testing

Packager requests testing

Is that correct?

Yes. Except that I'm asking packagers to leave a note with the submitted package and to wait for my response that it has shipped to the repo before asking for tests.

I add the testing repositories in synaptic. But I still don't get to see any kde 4.8.x packages. Can someone point to a link where the entire procedure is explained as to how to configure repositories for testing?

The steps I followed are

1. Install PCLinuxOS KDE 2012 Desktop
2. Add testing to one of the mirror in synaptic repositories
3. Reload

Am I supposed to install some beta ISO or something, if yes can someone provide me the link

Regards,
Arun

arunsoorya,
KDE-4.8.x is not in 32bit testing as yet.
