PCLinuxOS KDE 64 final released

Netbook Asus Eee PC 1225B, AMD® APU E450 1.65GHz (dual core), DDR3 4GB, Western Digital 500 GB HD, AMD® Radeon HD 6320, Azurewave 0.3 VGA Webcam, PCLinuxOS2013/KDE4, Energy Star Compatible.

Wireless Broadcom  BCM4313 802.11 b/g/n  using: ml module
LAN Realtek RTL8101E 10/100/1000 Mbps

11.6" LED Backlight WXGA (1366x768) Screen

ALL works, and most FN keys (brightness, volume, wifi) at least the ones I care most.

The problem is, with PClinuxOS, my wireless detecto all the networks, but it fails when trying to connect. Same lap with Manjaro 8.5.1and linux Mint Maya (13) connects with no problem at all. is it the wrong module? If I plug an USB Wireless card from cisco, it works on PCLinux, but not with the broadcom card...  .

Sound work, but i have to select the ATI cardo to works, the default one doesn't works...

An old problem that was fixed some time ago in the 32 bit version has reappeared in the 64 bit version:

Trying to connect with a Realtek RTL8188CE wifi adaptor to a router using WPA-PSK.  Set up the connection in control panel, it doesn't connect.  Go back to settings and it has changed the encription setting to WEP.

Running the distro on two notebooks, so far without any issues. I will thanks pinoc to create the ISO, and Texstar for PCLinuxOS.

Me too...that would be the last shot I'll take, since sadly i'm havin lots' of wi fi issues....no , maybe with the next kernel I'll put on  after havin installed the x86_64 minime, ;P <3

If you get wireless, but it drops alot, try wicd. It has solved the problem for several users.

I remember I tryed, with other distros, but no way. probably it's a kernel problem. For instance now I'm on elementary os , that uses the 3.2 kernel (it's a ubuntu 12.04 based) but I've replaced with 3.8 via aptitude. buth with  both of them never had such problem..well it occured once I finisched installing eOS (with kernel 3.2)

As for x86_64 minime version: it will have, like the upcoming versions, the 3.4 kernel by default?

Sorry forgot, the problem is: I dont' even get wifi at all!  It usually works only after the first installation and then goes away forever ;(

WiCd and dkms-ndiswrapper solved the continues WiFi problems on an (ancient) Acer portable at the computerclub last saturday (PCLos64bit)

I want to compliment all of those who made this release possible. I think this is the best distro I've ever installed! Just about every thing works, and what didn't work (nvidia-settings retention, printer driver problem) was resolved quickly via the forum. I can't imagine using another distro. Again, this one is spectacular!
