Not sure why but recently I have started to have problems using the network centre (I use the KDE version of Pclinuxos). Initially, when my pc boots up I have the connection via ethernet disconnected. I use the network centre to connect. This works fine on the first go. For some reason when I use it now to disconnect it doesn't work. I have tried right-clicking on the icon on the task bar as well. This asks me to enter my root password which I do but it still does not disconnect. After I have done this I get a new icon displayed on the task bar. When I click on this it comes up with options about 'Keep Authorisation' or 'Forget Authorisation'.
A couple of questions. Why do you think the Network centre won't allow me to disconnect? Also, why does that new icon on the task bar appear?
I presume that something has got corrupted along the way? Do I just need to re-install the network centre or is there another problem?
Cheers for now
