VirtualBox - very impressed

I had QtQemu installed until a few days ago. It was slow and I could not see what the virtualisation fuss was all about.

On Saturday I got getvirtualbox (thanks Pinoc). I am very impressed.

I have now banged in half a dozen different systems, used the bridging network thing, and have been using ssh to access several virtual machines. Each machine runs fast and works much better than I expected.

Quite an eye opener.

I agree with you Phil I too find it the best VM application.

And the getvirtualbox script works really well, as, apart from downloading and installing VB, it also adds the Extension Pack automatically.

Yep, +1 to that. VirtualBox runs circles around qemu any day.

Hey, Guys -- a compliment for whoever built that 'getvirtualbox' script!!! I just ran across this thread after having tried to install VB directly from Oracle's site, and wound up in dependency hell. Getvirtualbox did the job and all I had to do was watch !!!
