I packaged Clonezilla as part of DRBL-Clonezilla, and there are icons for setting up DRBL but not for Clonezilla itself.

When I update Clonezilla I can add an icon - at the moment I'm tied up moving to a new place :-)

Actually adding an icon/menu entry can be quite a challenge - it has to be visible in kde and gnome and the icon itself can/should be sized in 4-5 sizes, also it has to be put in the right place in the menu, read more here:

http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/1.1/ (not sure if we use 1.1)

cheers,

Clonezilla is still broke from my point of view, I mean by that that it doesn't run from my desktop.

Never used it before so I could be wrong but none of the above worked.
I shall pass this way but once;
any good therefore that I can do,
or any kindness that I can show
let me not defer nor neglect it,
for I shall not pass this way again.

Hi,

I just used clonezilla last week to image a small xfs flash drive.
Restored the image to a different flash drive and it worked fine.
Used the beginner's settings which defaulted to a partimage
type backup, but, it worked without problem.

It is hard to configure sometimes, when selecting a dd backup/restore
from the expert settings and switch on something that doesn't work.
One reason for a failure.    Is there a terminal message you could post ?

regards,

Finally the job was done with a Live CD, begginer settings and all that.

I'm not in my Linux machine right now but I will try it tomorrow and post whatever I find.

When I wrote a small script to get to clonezilla live, no problem.

When I tried clonezilla-DRBL from the menu I almost backed up the entire
AT&T DSL network.
