nvidia 7150m graphic driver
« on: April 04, 2012, 07:11:44 PM »
I have a nvidia 7150m graphic driver.
I found a link to the driver:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux-display-ia32-295.33-driver.html

How do I get out of the openbox graphic environment to get into cli mode? Do I need linux headers to install nvidia graphic driver?

Thanks for the advice. :)

That driver seems to be for 64 bit.

Is that what you are running?

Edit: Hmm, me bad... (Looked obviously at the wrong site): http://driverscollection.com/?file_cid=4241547835801aa17a4ec953492

Seems no need for anyway.  :D

You need to open Synaptic, do a Search for nvidia, then install the dkms-nvidia-current package if it isn't already installed. It should be by default.

Of what use be there for joy, if not for the sharing thereof?

It seems it is just:

nvidia-settings currently does not support scanout screens (0) that have dynamic twinview disabled.
To enable it, enable the option "Enable duplicate display
on the second display" in DrakX11 (Mandriva Control Center =>
Hardware => Set up the graphical server => Options).

Trying it now.

This would not work.

But:
Control center > configure graphics > Video card > options > enable duplicate display

reboot.

This will work.

Thanks. ;)
