(SOLVED)PCLOS FM & LO Upgrade question?
« on: April 05, 2012, 05:10:13 AM »
I get the following error when attempting to upgrade LO in a fresh, updated FM Install.

Any idea for a workaround?

Thanks.

Please update your system.

You will probably need to uninstall & reinstall MIXXX & its associated library.
That worked for me on two FM machines to be able to install LO ver 3.5.1.2.

that or run the new lomanager 3.5.2 from the command line using: lomanager --no-updatetest

Zorlac and Pinoc,

Thanks for your help.  It worked perfect.

Can't reinstall MIXXX due to dependency issues but don't really need DJ mixing application anyway.

Pinoc, you have done an amazing job with FM.  I thought KDE and LXDE versions of PCLOS could not be surpassed.  FM just brings it altogether into one great distro.  Thanks for your work.

Pinoc, quick question.  Should we be using only one repository for FM?  It seems that the two default ones don't pull in number of packages they do under a regular KDE install?   I have received a message (when installing) about the need to add/change repositories.

Hi jmm,

FM is just a special version of the PCLinuxOS KDE desktop, and for this reason the repositories and their setup is identical. If you install apt-sources-list and then restart Synaptic you will have the latest repo information available, in FM, KDE, LXDE, XFCE,...
hope this helps,
