Xsnow compiling successful

Frankly I don't remember, I think I had no problem at all compiling, just following the readme. It is great that you have done a src rpm ! The package request section might not have been available...

Do you think you can make a rpm package as well, and send it to Neal's dropbox ? That would be very nice !

I don't know if that would work. The version 1.42 of xsnow would not compile from the readme example and instead needed xmkmf from imake that does not exist in pclinuxos. After finding another distros imake src rpm and slightly modifying the specfile to build, the xmkmf made a proper makefile for xsnow to compile. The imake package is only used for xsnow.  

Do you have a different version of xsnow? If it compiles on it's own that would eliminate the need for imake.

Version of xsnow is the latest; (xsnow-1.42.tar.gz from http://janswaal.home.xs4all.nl/Xsnow/ )

imake in pclinuxos does contain xmkmf;

Needed to build are the following packages:
imake
gccmakedep
libx11-devel
libxt-devel
libxpm-devel

and once these installed, following the README:

How to compile:
---------------
To build:
   xmkmf
   make depend
   make

is successful !  \o/ !
