Yet Another Newbie Packager

I chose about the simplest possible package for my debut, but doubtless made lots of mistakes...

I offer you dstat - a versatile resource statistics tool. My RPM is at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/69101108/dstat-0.7.2-1davep2012.src.rpm

Hi Dave,

Welcome to the Packagers section of the forum.  Sorry for the delay in replying but as I'm sure you know we are all quite busy at the moment  :)

I've had a look at your SRPM and of course it builds and runs fine so well done on that!.

No real mistakes but if you are interested in packaging for PCLinuxOS there are some guidelines in the sticky threads of this forum section which help ensure that we produce consistent high quality packages.  Referring to this entry, the name of the spec file should be pclos-dstat.spec and the version in the changelog entry should be 0.7.2-1pclos2012

Other than those 2 minor points it looks fine to me.  We look forward to seeing some more from you.

Many thanks for the feedback. I've made the changes you suggested and produced a new version:

Uhh oh.. Keep the chin up you already made a BR remaster so I would think you've already moved on to a VETERAN. But if it helps, Welcome, Agent Smith.  ;)

Kidding my friend. Btw, let's celebrate the packages I already made(and the many others that are in the queue, to be packaged)  ;D

Best regards!!!
