Virtual Desktop Taskbar Icons on all desktops SOLVED
« on: March 30, 2012, 09:21:44 PM »
Just built a new computer.  I had 4 virtual desktops in the last build, and even though I didn't use it a lot, I thought I remembered that when I sent an open app to another desktop, the icon from the bottom taskbar went with it.  Seems now with my 4 virtual desktops, that when I send an open app elsewhere, the icons stay on all the desktops in the bottom taskbar, which clutters things up and confuses things.

Do I have something set for this behavior I can change?

Thanks!

The only setting I need to change here is available from

Right click on app top bar - To Desktop - and select which one (or all) desktops to display the app.
The icon only shows on the task bar of the individual desktop, if that is what is selected.

Are you using Smooth Tasks to display the icon of the running application? Maybe a different Task bar behaves differently?

Thank you all for the replies.  By right clicking on bottom task bar, and choosing "smooth tasks settings", I get the dialogue box shown by Bald Brick.  I chose "only show tasks from current desktop", and I was good to go.  I will mark this as solved.
