psx-113-1pclos2012.src.rpm - Available for testing
« on: March 27, 2012, 03:21:47 PM »
Gentlemen,
This one is the first package that I built. I did not download it from anywhere, but I downloaded the executable and constructed the package.
From its site (http://psxemulator.gazaxian.com/ )
pSX emulates the Sony Playstation 1, pretty much everything is emulated
(to my knowledge) and most games run perfectly.  It runs under Windows and
Linux.

One thing that should be noted is that pSX DOES NOT use plugins.
The emulator is completely self contained.

The emulator has been designed to be as easy and unobtrusive to use
as possible - in most cases you will not need to configure anything
to use it (except maybe the controls).

I made the icon too, adapted a gfx from the above site(well, it is not very beautiful, but the icon is distinctive)

It's a very nice emulator that deserved to be in PCLinuxOS repos.
Hope you like it.

Best regards

Agent Smith,

I have not looked in detail as yet, but have you actually included the bios file "scph1001.bin"?

No, that would be illegal. I've just downloaded it from its site, the way it is there and made the package, did not add nor subtract nothing.
