In my parent's home I use an old Thinkpad T23 with US layout keyboard, but with the US intl layout I can type all the dead keys i need to writing in spanish except for the opening marks:

"right alt key + /" for inverted question mark but i only got this ̉
"right alt key + 1" for inverted exclamation mark but i only got this 1 (LOL)
