Dolphin question [Solved]
« on: May 24, 2012, 01:15:14 PM »
How can I make Dolphin show things in a 'tree' view?  With the little plus sign (+) by folders that can be expanded?

Searching didn't help and I can't find anything in the options/settings that looks like it would do it.

Maybe I'm calling it the wrong thing...

Click on the icon that says Details view mode when your cursor hovers over it.

You must also have 'Expandable Folders' ticked in Dolphin Preferences - View Modes

Another way is on Dolphin's menu, View > Adjust View Properties. Change View mode to Details and tick All folders on Apply View Properties To. Also tick Use these view properties as default. Click OK and you are set.

The 'tick-box' to enable expandable folders is not present via that method either ...  at least not here on this 32 bit install.

As a BTW ......  it is a ' > '  which shows that the folders are expandable.

Thanks Just18 - that did it!  I knew it was something like that, I just couldn't seem to locate it.  It's one of those things you never think about until an update or re-install resets it and then you can't find it to fix it...

An I have it set to use the Details view everywhere...
