that is of course from PCLinuxOS, very probably LXDE ... because the livecd.sqfs file size match, and the date match that of LXDE-2012-01 release ...

Well, I just know the splash screen is PCLinxuOS the only OS on my desktop and it says Lightweight X-11.  Thanks anyway for your efforts.  I'll try someone else.

will pcmanfm display your drive?

Open again lxterminal and type

check if there hooks set...

okay download the latest Iso from here

install it, and try again
