Panels disappearing in gnome
« on: March 31, 2012, 08:42:20 AM »
This is actually a gnome problem, but I thought it might also apply elsewhere, thus this post  ::)

I've just spent the past 2 hours setting up my panels in gnome-mmxii, and suddenly they've disappeared. There were a few problems with setting them up (occasionally the menu-point "Add to Panel" would just disappear, or the box would be empty), but a log-out/log-in always fixed that.

To spare me all that work again, does anyone know if there's there any way of restoring them? Alternatively, where are they stored, so that I can perhaps rescue them manually?

Thanks.

Edit: I've just checked in the Configuration Editor (apps -> panel -> objects) and all the objects are still there, but they're not being displayed.
