Internet configuring
« on: March 18, 2012, 03:05:54 PM »
I'm trying my luck with PCL 2012 and having installed Privoxy, setting both Firefox and Opera for proxy servers using

127.0.0.1  and 8118

the internet is block by Privoxy.

If I use direct connection instead, there's no problem.

Are there any additional adjustments I need to do as well the above?

there is no extrasettings (i'm writing this with privoxy enabled)
however you should check if it's running
 /etc/rc.d/init.d/privoxy status
and start if it is stopped
/etc/rc.d/init.d/privoxy start

http://p.p is the web interface to config files and more

I've seen this before (use Privoxy all the time) on new installs. Privoxy needs to be manually started in the Control Center>System>Manage Services, then find Privoxy entry, and ensure it's running (enable if not). Make sure box is ticked to autostart upon reboot, and should work all the time. :)
There is no shame in saying "I don't know".
