Double sound output

Hi... another problem with my sound... im using pclinuxos-lxde-2012.01 and already up to date until now, my netbook spec is Acer AO722, Amd dual-core processor C60. My question now is... how to listen music using headset without sound leak... i mean my speaker & my headset active... I want to disable my active speaker when i using headset... Any sugestion/advice for this problem ?

Edit: im using Intel HDA driver (snd_hda_intel[ALSA]) and enable pulseAudio are checklist
Already a few day and still no sugestion/advice/help... so sad  :'( :'(

if i'm not wrong when you insert something in headset then the sound is automatically muted on speakers or at least that is happen to my ACER netbook ( is a Aspire One ZG5)
However you can check the volume on headset/speaker via alsamixer and see how's the volume there..

@AS : how to add CONFIG_SND_HDA_INPUT_JACK or add
$ cat /boot/config-2.6.38.8-pclos3.pae | grep CONFIG_SND_HDA_INPUT_JACK
CONFIG_SND_HDA_INPUT_JACK=y
on lxde2012, im still newbie here, can you give me some guide please...

As already wrote in the linked thread, the flag CONFIG_SND_HDA_INPUT_JACK is already enabled, it means it's not the cause of the problem. The command highlighted in blue-navy is exactly a confirmation that the current kernel was built enabling that flag.

try to run alsaconf, open a terminal, su to root and type:
Code: [Select]
alsaconf
then try to run:
Code: [Select]
alsamixeruse F3, F4, F5 to check all mixer settings.

alsaconf n alsamixer no improvement.... the setting show in alsa only master, pcm, mic and mic 1, still no configuration for headset volume or something like that...
Any other sugestion/help for this?

then i guess is about a faulty contact (hardware problem). try to apply pressure to one of the sides of the of headset connector and see if speakers are muted

i don't think is ACER problem here since is workin fine in win (so you are lucky that is not a hardware issue  :) )

i guess that some options need to be specified in modprobe.conf
you may try by adding this line at the end of file
options snd-hda-intel model=laptop
save then reboot

there something in conexant driver
i'll try to figure out what it is
according to ALSA config the options conexant audio codec are here
in the mean time you can play with it if you want  :)
