« on: March 13, 2012, 08:48:47 PM »
Hi... im using pclinuxos-lxde-2012.01 and already update until now... My question... how to turn off automatic update ? I already uncheck updated-notifier on Desktop Session Setting and already click stop on PCC-system-manage system service-apt (stat already stop) and on LXauto start I already delete all... But everytime reboot/turn on its always come back to check new update...
Any sugestion/advice from this problem?
Thanks before...

Why would you even want to do that? Regular updates are a necessity with PCLinuxOS. You can set any time interval between checks that you'd like, but without a reminder at some point you may forget, then end up with a system that can't be upgraded at all, meaning you'd need to reinstall from the latest .iso image.

If the pop ups annoy you, as they do me, you can turn them off without disabling update-notifier completely.

Of what use be there for joy, if not for the sharing thereof?
