[Solved]No Sound & not correct battery detection
« on: March 06, 2012, 04:52:09 AM »
Hi... here the short story... Im using pclinuxos-lxde-2012.01 on my old pc its run well and fine. Now I have new netbook Aspire One 722 (AMD dual core processor C60,  Memory ddr3 2Gb) after I install it, everything looks fine but cant hear sound, the setting on sound configuration already Intel HDA driver (snd_hda_intel[ALSA]), already try checklist enable pulseaudio still no sound and my kernel already kernel-2.6.38.8-pclos3.bfs
Owh for battery detection, I add battery monitor to panel applet but it keep show 100% charged with green or yellow color. How to view update status like in windows 7 or in pclinuxos-phoenix-2012-02 the battery always up to date.
So any idea what to do?
Thank before...

If PulseAudio is enabled and working, install    pavucontrol

On its Configuration tab you should see the sound sink devices in your PC.

If you have a HDMI output and are not using it, then disable that sound device.

Check using your Mixer to see if all sliders are up and nothing needed is muted.

On LXDE I used   batti   for the battery monitor .....

Did you use  task-pulseaudio   to install PulseAudio?

If NO then install that task package and reboot, check PA is still enabled in PCC - Hardware -Sound config

If YES then use task-pulseaudio-remove to remove PA, reboot and then use task-pulseaudio to install it again, to see if there is any improvement.

Glad to hear all is working for you  ;)

The keyboard question needs a separate thread under the LXDE section ......  I don;t have an answer.

Could you please post what you did that worked, so that others reading might follow your instructions.

Also as the problem of this thread is solved, can you edit the heading of your first post to include [SOLVED] in the title .......  thanks  ;)
