Hi all,

as I want to upgrade my HD to a bigger SSD, I downloaded PCLOS KDE 2012.2 and wanted to put it on a flash drive using UNetBootIn.

But whatever I do, UNetBootIn keeps telling me that my usb drive isn't mounted.  :-\

Anyone with an idea?

TIA

  • Morse Code early digital communication medium!
I've gotten that error when the flashdrive is not formated to fat32 , Check and see that it is .
if it is i've found that storing just a black file on it will somtimes work also

I had the same issue and resolved it by inserting the USB drive into the port prior to starting unetbootin and when prompted I opened it with file manager.  Starting unetbootin afterward showed the USB drive as being mounted.

Hi all,

thanks for the replies. Opening it in the filemanager did it.

Always thought that "connecting" it in the device notifier would mount the device. Obviously it doesn't.  :-\ :-\ :-\ Learnt something new today  ;D
