Any way to get Konqueror faster?

is there a way to get Konqueror faster?
When i click on a link, it's need much time to open it. In this time i can drink some coffee

What web browser engine is set Leiche? mebbe try switching from  KHTML to WebKit (or vica versa)

Switch from KHTML to WebKit. It is now faster as before, but ... not a Ferrari

konqueror has an option to keep at least one instance in memory. Is the option turned on?

yes, have both option in the "preloading" section ticked and it should start faster

oh, you meant opening up a link on an already running instance of konqueror. I though you were talking about opening up a link that will start up konqueror, my bad.

That web page is pretty heavy and most browser will take some time to display it, some will take more time than others.

Have you tried to open the page using firefox or chrome or opera and compare which one opened it fastest/slowest?
