I finally got Lxde installed on a Thinkpad T20(or whatever T21, T22) 900mhz PIII 256mb ram. It wasn't easy, Grub did not want to install.
I'm trying to install Gourmet Recipe Manager. It downloads then it goes through installing everything at the end a box pops up that says APT system reports: E: Transaction set check failed. I click OK and Gourmet is not installed. I have tried switching repos.
Any ideas?
Edit: I found the solution, thanks to a Google search that led me to this
http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php?topic=93311.0. I installed system-config-printer and a bunch of other things it pulled in. Gourmet works!
