kmymoney last selected view

If you setup kmymoney to open to the last selected view it only opens the last selected option from the left toolbar where Home, Institutions, Accounts, Scheduled Transactions, etc... are.

For example:
if you select "accounts" and close then open kmymoney it will open to the "accounts" option
if you select "reports" and close then open kmymoney it will open to the "reports" option
if you select "ledgers" and close then open kmymoney it will open to the "ledgers" option
etc...

What I am wonder is can you have kmymoney open to a specific account under the "ledger" option? I have multiple accounts listed in the ledger separated by years. 2007 account, 2008 account, up to 2012.

Kmymoney will open to the ledger tab on a restart but it always opens to my 2007 account. I though maybe it did it by oldest date, so I created a fake account for 2001 just to try, but it still opens to the 2007 account for some reason. All accounts have a $0.00 balance except 2012. I don't think its opening by balance.

Any ideas how to get kmymoney to open to the current years account?

I found a config file at .kde4/share/config/kmymoneyrc but I"m not sure if you can change the account name that kmymoney will default to on startup.

I may have found a fix for this.

Using Version 4.6.1

• Goto the HOME tab
  Select/Open the Account you want to appear
  Goto Account from the menu (not the Accounts tab)
  Goto Edit Account
  Goto General tab
  Check Preferred Account
  Save your changes.
  Close and re-open kmymoney to see if it worked.
  

You may want verify your other accounts do not have this option checked.

Its worked so far for me.
