default torrent client problem

hello people how is everybody?
i set my default torrent client to ktorrent with dolphin
yet firefox wants to use transmission
why is this and how do i fix it?

PS loving PCLinuxOS more each day
surprised you don't have more internet publicity
how many users i wonder?

I think because Firefox get it's mimetypes (linking to applications) from another location....

How does Firefox come into the equation?  KTorrent has its own gui.

Downloading a new torrent file?
=> ok, probably you can just do the same with ktorrent; but when browsing with firefox and you come across a link to a torrent, I can just imagine you want it to open ktorrent?  ;)

firefox is broken on torrents, because it wants to use transmission
in spite of i told my system via dolphin to use ktorrent
how do i fix firefox?
also, i looked in default applications, torrent is not in there
