w_scan issues

Yesterdays trauma in the UK has left many TVs and TV cards channel-less.
The advice to re-tune is helpful only for those whose hardware knows the rules.

My Hauppauge Nova-T 500 with Kaffeine will not play nicely. It was suggested that I use w-scan.

It is not in the repository but I downloaded a pre-compiled version. It  started to run but stopped with this message:

main:3219: FATAL: Your DVB driver doesnt support DVB API v5. Please upgrade.
What should I be looking for to crack this problem?

Now i'm mess, i known i was initial w_scan for pclinuxos...

Did you search for w_scan?

w_scan is in repo.

Kaffeine has v.good tuning capability.  Don't realy need w_scan

Presumably Digital Switchover (part 2) in London and South East area

You may just need to change Kaffeine settings for Transmitter. > Configure tv > Device(s) > Source, then re-tune
