New install on new ssd
« on: February 20, 2012, 12:33:11 PM »
I'm installing a new ssd and will make it my boot drive.  Can I copy over my current /home before I install? Will that work?

You can try to make a /home partition already... and copying the contents to that place....
=> and if it doesn't work, just start clean, and copy only the things you need (and some known config files) in place...

If you search through the forum (or have patience for someone else), you'll even find methods to copy the root partition too I think  ;)
(but not completely sure about that)
