Hi,

I'm trying to help a friend to print from his Linux 2.6.26.8.tex3 computer to a Printer that is shared on a Microsoft XP Home Network but have literally no idea how to configure everything.

I am not at all familiar with Linux or how it works and have only used the OS on one other Occasion.

I have read several conflicting posts on CUPS and SAMBA and it has only left me even more confused. Is there anybody who can explain to me how to do this in laymen terms or baby steps because this is getting very frustrating. The two windows PC's have been setup to file and printer share but as it stands the Linux machine is just sat here independently, I don't even know how to add the machine to share the same home network.

Can somebody please help!!! :o
