hi greets from Sicily.
have just installed PCLOS KDE with persistence via liveusb creator on a 4 gig pendrive. All went good execpt for some annoying prompts on startup asking all the time to select keyboard, warning about guest/root passwords, inviting to update thru synaptic while Konqueror automatically opens on a PCLOS Forum thread. Is there a way to get rid of above procedures thus speeding up bootup time? Can someone help solve this problem?
Look forward to some good advice.
Thanks in advance

Keyboard ....  the correct one should be selected on subsequent boots, but does require acknowledgement.

The other items you mention are part of the ISO. To eliminate them would require that you build your own remaster making the changes necessary to eliminate them.

Passwords .....  not a warning, but an information message for users which times out and disappears IIRC.

Konqueror should open on the PCLOS front page .....  that is set as its default/home page ....

The only one of the things you mention that affects boot time is the keyboard question.
There was a previous quesion or two about this item so the info may already be in a thread. I don't have it to hand .....  but it does require a remaster with some changes to eliminate the question.
