Not currently. We're working on it, waiting on some information from Texstar. Hopefully we'll have things back to normal soon. Like everything else with PCLinuxOS, it will be ready when it's ready. Please exercise patience muscles.  ;D

Now that we don't have access to PASS, I realize that I was a bit spoiled by it and had taken it for granted. It's a fantastic perk for those who donate. I'll trust Tex and the Bacon Brigade to find the right solution and get us access to PASS again soon.

As Hans & Franz might say: Hear me now und believe me later, my patience muscles are well-developed.  ;)

Thanks.

The PCLinuxOS Donations webpage http://www.pclinuxos.com/?page_id=7 is currently up and running, and link to Google Checkout is working (caveat: I didn't try to actually make a credit card donation, so I can't say if that's currently functional - instead I will mail a donation check).

Anyone know if PASS (Premium Server Access System) is functioning now?

I made a donation several weeks ago using my credit card, and it worked just fine. Got my PASS access code about an hour later!

And yeah, PASS is currently working just fine  ;)

FYI - If you mail in a donation and do not include your email address you will not receive a PASS code. There is no database that associates your real name with your forum account.

Thanks,
Tex

Thanks to everyone who donates. You keep the servers running.

Hello,

I want to make a donation using my Visa Credit card, I wonder why is so cumbersome with Google Wallet? I am not willing to send sensitive Identification documents via Internet. Why now the credit card is not good for Google?

Please, is there a way to pay with my International Visa Credit card via https?, I have used it to pay my hosting provider in USA with no problem for years.

Thanks
joejac

I have used a credit card to make donations.  The procedure seemed simple to me, perhaps because I have a Google account. Google Wallet is on an https site.

Hello Ternor  and thanks for your reply

I also have a Gmail account, but when I click the Buy now button I get the following:

Quote
Account Verification

If you’ve arrived at this page, it means that your Google Wallet online account is currently suspended because we were unable to verify the credit or debit card information for your recent order. To maintain the security of your account, please follow a few simple steps to ensure your account information is up-to-date.

What do I need to complete the form? To confirm your financial identity and protect your account, you'll need to scan or take pictures of (using your cell phone, for example) your verification documents and then upload them to this form. If you’re unable to upload digital copies of your documents, you may fax your documents instead. The verification documents are:

    One non-expired government-issued identification
One billing address verification document dated within the last four months and containing the same address on file in your Google Wallet account (if you can’t remember your billing address on file or had multiple on file, use your most recent home address)

What does this mean for my current order and charges on my card statement? Your order has been cancelled and your card was not charged. If you still see activity on your card statement for your cancelled order, this is just an authorization, not an actual charge, and it will be removed from your account in 1-14 business days depending on your card-issuing bank.

What will happen if I don’t verify my account? To ensure the security of your account, it will remain suspended and you won’t be able to place orders until you send your verification documents. Please do not create additional accounts.

How long will it take to verify my account? It should take 3-5 business days to process your request, but it may take longer in some cases. You will be notified directly by email once your information has been verified.

Government-issued identification *
Driver's license
Passport information page
National identification card
State-issued identification
Permanent residence card
A different form of government-issued identification

Billing address verification *
Bank statement
Credit/debit card statement with the first 12 digits blacked out (Do not send an image of your credit card).
Utility bill

I use my credit card for Internet purchases since 1999 and no one asked for these documents before, do you know  if PclinuxOS has another credit card payment processor?

Best Regards
joejac

Not sure and can't prove it, but that looks and sounds like a hack to me.  I wouldn't enter any information.  Rather, contact Google directly.

I wish there was some way other than Google to donate from outside of USA. Not even that bothered about PASS, just a way to express gratitude.

For security reasons I use a perfectly valid 'pay-as-you-go' VISA debit card. Never very much balence on this, so never very much can be stolen/misdirected/lost. (caught in the past, never again)

Works very well with paypal even for USA purchases but some some reason google rejects it & I do have a google email account(s).

Such is life.

Hello and thanks Rich and George

This is what I found, other than the Google help center explaining that I should send the documents:
http://nedharvey.com/blog/?p=99

But also various negative experiences:
http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!msg/checkout-merchant/TVMzXoOLjIg/1hrh4RKZGsQJ

Although I want to support PCLinuxOS, I am not going to spent more time with this arbitrary Google issue, with no guarantee of recover my Google Wallet, because I am "suspended for life". I hope PCLInuxOS will find a better way to take donations from credit cards.

Best regards
joejac
