claws-mail-3.8.0 available for testing
« on: February 14, 2012, 08:46:59 PM »
Really it was packaged at the beginning of January,  working for me so far, however the packages were been rebuild yesterday:
on the 64 bit version the perl-plugin is missing, cause it doesn't build, it is fine on the 32 bit version.

This is one of my first packages, please check the specfiles.  Also I have used and tested on a few plugins: gtkhtml2, fancy, trayicon, the others are untested.

EDIT:
download links removed, cause clawse-mail.3.8.0 is now available from PCLinuxOS repo.

Feedback welcome!

Unless some users are testing for a while before reporting back AS

It's not an email package I use and know very little about how it works etc otherwise I'd give it a whirl for ya.

I was thinking so ... done that (to Texstar when he was here) ... later I decided it could be better that I remain a bit of time in testing  :D ;D

AS

I was going to put that info in my message, but forgot somehow.  ;D

I use -

claws-mail-att_remover-plugin-3.8.0-1_as_2012.i586.rpm
claws-mail-mailmbox-plugin-3.8.0-1_as_2012.i586.rpm
claws-mail-notification-plugin-3.8.0-1_as_2012.i586.rpm

So far, so good. Mind you I haven't used the attachment remover or the mbox plugins yet,
but I am confident that I shouldn't see any problems.

You know you got my vote, AS.

I am unable to help you test right now. I am all bogged down at the moment. And you should be too.  ;D

Thanks Archie!
I know myself, I do own some skill in software development, but I'm still a newbie around packaging, there is nothing wrong in consolidating a few the new knowledge.  ;)
