My main install is KDE 2011 fully updated.
The PC includes a BlueTooth facility built in .... as part of a card reader.
I have a Logitech Mono Ear set with MIC which I have used with my phone and also with Skype on this PC.
I also have a Broadcom BT dongle and can equally use that on this PC to get audio communications and with Skype.
So all is good on this PC ...... using either BT device.

I also have a laptop - Toshiba C660 - on which I installed KDE 2012 the other day.
When I attempted to use the Broadcom dongle and the Logitech ear set on the Laptop, I could not make a successful connection.
I have spent considerable time comparing the two set ups, and matching them with regard to installed packages concerned with sound, pulsaudio, bluetooth etc.
The ear set is visible.
The connection is attempted, and there is data flowing in both directions.
But the connection does not lock on ..... it fails.
Amongst other suggestion for the failure is this .....
"the message bus security policy blocked the reply"
As I see data going in both directions that does not seem to be the likely cause ....... but I do not really know. I did not set up any security on the Laptop .... even the firewall is off.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks.
