(SOLVED)LXDE newbie question...
« on: February 07, 2012, 05:12:58 AM »
Just installed LXDE...

Prefer a top panel so I moved it...did not know that there is a blank menu when panel is on top when you click the PCLOS logo....So, I deleted that PCLOS logo menu....

Any way of retrieving that now that I have moved panel to bottom?

Open Synaptic Package Manager (red and white icon on panel) >>> click Reload > Mark All Upgrades > Apply and again Apply >>> click Search > enter lxpanel in the field > click Search > mark lxpanel for reinstallation > click Apply and again Apply > exit Synaptic. Logout/login.

For info on top panel, use the forum search function.

Neal,

Thanks for your help. I reinstalled lxpanel and task-lxde and that did not retrieve the original pclos starter menu.  Any ideas?

If not, I appreciate your help and can certainly enjoy this DE without it.

Boot your liveCD. Mount your /home partition. Open /home/guest/.config and copy the lxpanel folder to your /home/<you>/.config folder.
