Wireless Connection Problems (Solved)
« on: February 02, 2012, 09:37:25 AM »
Running PCLinux KDE 4.6.5 Fully updated
On a Compaq CQ61 laptop manufactured 2009
Atheros Communications Inc. AR9285 Wireless Network Adaptor (PCI Express)

Connecting to a - Linksys WRT54g2 wireless router
,
My problem is that anytime that I restart/sleep my computer, I have to while it is trying to connect, click on the
connecting icon in the system tray and select my wireless network then click on configure and un-hide my password
then click on the OK for it to connect.
If I don't do this it will always tell me that it is not connected to the wired network.

I have deleted the wired connection but it always self regenerates .

any suggestions ?

No - because I sometimes have to use a wired connection.

Thank You for the reply !

That does not work on this computer- as I stated in my first post I have deleted the wired connection
and it self regenerates .

I have looked in the BIOS and there is not an option to disable the wired controller
