[SOLVED] Startup/Shutdown Sounds Cut Off

My startup & shutdown sounds are cut off at the end for some reason. They're custom .ogg files. I've tried installing plugins & using pulseaudio, but to no avail. How do I fix this? Any help is appreciated!

Does the same happen with files in another format?
What backends did you try?

Are you using KDE, LXDE, e17, ....?
=> we need such info before we can even suggest something

No, but the .ogg files work fine on my desktop computer. I'm using KDE. I can't remember the specific plugins I tried, but I have no idea why the clips don't work on my laptop.

Can you copy the .ogg files from your Desktop computer to a storage device
and then replace the ones on the laptop with the ones from the Desktop computer ?
Don't know for sure but that may fix the problem.

That's how I got the files onto the laptop in the first place I'm probably missing a plugin, but which one?
