Just out of curiosity, how much work is involved in bringing a PCLinuxOS 2010 rpm up to date with 2011/12 and enabling it in repo? The rpm in question is a FM called 4Pane.

I can't remember if it was in the repos back then, but it looks interesting, and is actively maintained. Think MC on steroids

Note - this is not a package request. If it turns out too hard I won't be shedding any tears over it! The 4Pane is just a bit of a diversion but I am interested to know how "tweakable" packages are. Did have a go from source but at ./configure got "C++ preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check". Just curious.
