task-xfce throws up error.
« on: January 26, 2012, 05:56:53 AM »
I originally install PCLinuxOS - LXDE - 2011.09.iso on the 10/12/2011. I then added the xfce desktop and some apps. I have noticed that when I use synaptic task-xfce is not installed. When I try to install it, synaptic throws up the following error message:

task-xfce:
Depends: libexo (>=0.6_0) but it is not installable

There appears to be some dependency problem which I am unable to resolve.
I would appreciate some assistance with this problem. Thanking you in advance.

Hi Sproggy,
I am also facing the same problem even though I have added xfce4 in the repository sections.
Problem seems to be the dependence of task-xfce on libexo (>=0.6_0). Recently libexo has been upgraded to  0.7_1 in the repository. Ideally this version number is higher than the former one and should not cause problem.
