Hi All,
I am a new member trying to learn to use Linux. I was able to successfully install PCLinuxOS KDE4 latest version using the livecd alongside with Windows 7. So far the experience has been positive. It is amazing to see how much the landscape has changed since I dabbled briefly using red hat linux around 1997. So first of all, I would like to say thank you to all the contributors who have made it easy for someone like me to try something new.
Now the reason for my post...As I am trying to customize my desktop, I wanted to understand whether I needed to download current linux drivers from AMD site for the graphics card as I had done when I had first installed Windows 7 on my new build. My current displays are working fine, but not sure whether it can be improved. It is currently setup to use the Radeon 2000 and later (radeon/fglrx) drivers. Should I have to download any other drivers based on my current setup? Any guidance will be great. Looking forward to learning...
