Hi,
I was wondering why the text in the installer refused categorically to display anything else than "This wizard will help you to install a new distribution on you computer", or something looking very much like that, instead of "Cet assistant va vous aider à installer... ". Other chains after were correct, but not the start. Looking at the po file for French, there was no problem, the chains all translated and installed at the right place. So next I looked at the pot file and at the drakinstall Perl file one next to the other in a text editor, and didn't find exactly the same chains in the 2 files. (I saw time ago that the chains to be translated in a Perl file look like : N("This is to be translated"), so I sought for the chains one by one, checked all and added a few which were missing. I corrected the line numbers as well. Then I did a new pair po/mo file in French and tested the mo in a virtual install. It works !
So I submit here the new pot file, with po and mo in French, they are available here:
New_Dralive-Install.pot.tar.gzNew_Dralive-Install-fr.tar.gzThere is still one chain missing the translation at the end, related to the install of Grub : I suppose it might be located in another file ?
Regards,
Mélodie
