I think this device needs 2001:3c19  in that list ......  if I understand correctly ........  or more to the point it needs the RT5370 driver .... which does not appear to be supported in this kernel?

but have no idea where to go from there  :(

It should be a tar file, using a wrong .bz2 extension instead of .tar.bz2 ...  :D :P
untar the file, you should find the instructions inside ...  ;)

It is trying to copy the module under a (not existent) directory /tftpboot
Ignore the error, and proceed to compress and install the module  under /lib/modules/...

I got a connection without encryption .....  using it now.

Using either WEP or WPA/PSK I had some odd behaviour.
The router showed it connected, and sometimes the Network Manager (drakroam?) showed connected, but never got any data through it.

I probably need to look a little more closely at the configuration before building.
Unfortunately I know little of what is needed there  :(

this is the running process on my system, using -D wext, then I suppose the first option should be that one to use ...

I had forgotten to run wpa_supplicant  :(

I had I *think* edited the file as described .....  or rather I had edited it and hoped I did it correctly  :)

I ran the command, changing the router back to WPA/PSK and got connected.

So if I have done things correctly, this should now work ....  but at least I know it will work  :D

I have disconnected and unplugged the device, and it reconnected on reinsertion.
I have not yet rebooted .....  but signs are good.

Pulled it out ....  and when re-inserted it re-connected again properly!

All looks good here with this driver  :D

At the same time it look a bit difficult to integrated it in pclos kernels ...
While you are going to mark it as solved, please add to the subject line "rev A3" / RT5370"  ;)
