Greetings

It looks like lxdpms disabled would render the
same results as "xset dpms 0 0 0" and return
to default settings when enabled, which I use
all the time.   Tray icon should be a good feature.

or use
Code: [Select]
xset -dpms to disable, and
Code: [Select]
xset +dpms to enable...

But simpler is a simple gui for us noob users  ;D

Ergonomically speaking...

I would like my machine to boot up at
xset dpms 0 0 0

then be able to go to xset dpms 0 0 10
when listening to music to give myself a
little time to clear the keyboard of my presence

then go back to xset dpms 0 0 0 when that
is over to watch a movie...

xscreensaver is a tad bit clumsy but does do it

Hmmm...

I will wait for the 0.1.2, nice icons :)

Only one thing, I asked about conflict between gnome power save and lxdpms, but I had not answer...

Aleph,

Looks like your post keeps getting passed over. If you have both installed and both are running, try disabling the gnome power saver to see what difference it makes. I doubt there are others who are running both.

Any news about the lxdpms icons...?  :)

Leiche,

Fully updated here. The lxdpms version I'm seeing in Synaptic is 0.1.0-1pclos2011. Is that the old one or new one?

I don't have ON-OFF icons, and the version on the repos is 0.1.0-1 and no 0.1.3 as said Leiche that is the newest.

The icons are not very important for me Neal, I can wait....  :)
