Mine, which I've had for well over a year, had done quite well. FWIW, there IS room inside for an extra hard drive, just above the front panel USB ports.  ;)

At the other end of the skill spectrum, I bought one too.

Did anyone else get there PC yet?

Mine came today and I had lots of additional ram collecting dust already waiting so it's got over a gig. 1.280 to be exact ;D

It's running fine and so far I am satisfied with it.

It came with a strange linux OS though. The logo seems familiar. Looks like three people holding hands in a circle?  ;)

Oh well. I am downloading the latest PCLinunxOS LXDE .ISO so it should be happy soon.  ;) ;D ;D

Mine came on Friday while I was at work. Packed well and arrived in good contition.  I set it up last night with my KVM; working fine on the 'strange' OS.
I've been focusing more time on my other new machine (a little more power and ordered before tis RedTag deal came up).

I already have PCLinuxOS LXDE on mine and updated. I had to use "gparted" to get the drive cleaned and ready for a full install.

For some reason LXDE did not want to use the whole drive. It kept asking for a "re-boot" but it just would not format and use the whole drive for itself.

I think it was trying hard to keep existing partitions in case any happened to be Bimblows.

I had to use gparted to clean out the "bun twos" partitions.

After that,, LXDE was happy to have the entire hard drive to itself.  ;D

For $70.00, I don't think anyone is going to be disappointed.  ;D ;D

Neal,

You're probably better off passing this HP lappy by. I have several friends with similar models ... and EACH & EVERY ONE has died due to heat problems.

Be patient on the shipment from RedTag. While it's great that they offer $1.95 shipping, it isn't necessarily the fastest. I've had to wait for up to two weeks to receive items from them -- hence, I don't order anything from them that I need in a hurry. For items I need in a hurry, I order from J&R.com or Newegg. With either one, items are usually here within 3 days. If I need it any faster (which is rare), I visit one of the local computer shops that doesn't have two B's in their name.

Thanks, Paul! :) I'll skip the lappy with pleasure. ;)

I knew shipping would take time, but when I saw that others had theirs already.........

Finally I should be receiving mine tomorrow Sheesh it has only taken 12 days. They didn't even ship it till the 6th according to FedEx tracking. That wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't ordered it on Dec 31
