Thank you for that info. I nearly pressed the 'buy' button! On checking further, some models do have dual graphics, but every site I visit for this one comes up with the following:

Quote
Lenovo Essential G770 M539JUK Laptop
    Processor: Intel Core i5-2450M 2.50 GHz Dual-core (2 Core)
    Display: 44 cm (17.3") Active Matrix TFT Colour LCD VibrantView 16:9 HD+ 1600 x 900 LED
Memory: 8 GB (Max 8 GB) DDR3 SDRAM
Hard Disk Drive: 500 GB Serial ATA/300
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6650M 2 GB DDR3 SDRAM Dedicated
Operating system: Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Quote
Graphics Controller Manufacturer: AMD
Graphics Controller Model: Radeon HD 6650M
    Graphics Memory Capacity: 2 GB
    Graphics Memory Technology: DDR3 SDRAM
    Graphics Memory Accessibility: Dedicated

Am I correct in assuming that 'dedicated' in this respect means no duality?

Many thanks again.

Cheers

Edit: further searching with the keyword 'switchable' showed that it does in fact have such graphics.

dedicated sounds like the video ram is only for the video card, not sharec with the system

2 gbs for a laptop, sounds like too much to me

a shame ths thing has a intel video card in it, the only benefit, save battery comes at the use of a intel video card  :(
