Hi Forum
I have a HDD with valuable data that I need to copy.
How do I add this HDD to an existing PCLOS so that I can do some copying.
Firstly, I've attached the HDD, and PCLOS has detected it correctly.
# fdisk -l /dev/sdc
Disk /dev/sdc: 250.1 GB, 250058268160 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 30401 cylinders, total 488395055 sectors
Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x000300e9
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sdc1 * 63 208844 104391 83 Linux
/dev/sdc2 208845 488392064 244091610 8e Linux LVM
But thats all I've done, since wary of using fdisk and ruining all chances of data recovery !
And I have no experience with LVM.
TIA's for any tips and clues. And yes, also googling as hard as I can.
