Configure LX desktop #2 (Solved, finally!)
« on: December 19, 2011, 01:17:13 PM »
I would have posted this with the others had I known it was broke...  Under personal the autostart settings does not work, I'd been trying to get conky to autostart and guessing this might be why I can't get it to.

Thanks!
EDIT

Still have the opinon that there's something missing in the mini version, as I didn't have to use lxautostart to kick conky in the rear.

Here's the fix:

I had to install lxautostart, and had conky.desktop in the aoutstart folder. Starting autostart settings it shows conky as an added starter. I edited the textfile that  Leiche posted with no luck. I hit advanced, clicked on edit and took the # out of the conky line, saved, rebooted and it worked....

FYI, conky does not show up as an available starter in lxautostart...

Thanks to all who have tried to help...

No problem,

[jan@localhost ~]$ lxautostart.sh
LXautostart already exists
lxautostart backup already exists
EXIT="closewindow"
[jan@localhost ~]$

And it opened up the config gui, which I'd already looked at..

LXAutostart is working fine here.

Honest Neal, I don't even think I was using lxautostart on the other drive. Because on this one I have a file called lxautostart and on the crashed drive I don't. Go figure...

I copied my conky.desktop file from the crashed drive to a flash, then back to the new drive here and figured it wouldwork....
